Pine Martin Grange Care Home

Welcome to Pine Martin Grange, our latest luxury residential Care Home.

At Pine Martin Grange, we truly believe in providing a home, a life and a thriving community for our residents to enjoy, as well as outstanding care.

We believe in generating a positive environment for our residents to live in, which is why we run regular events and daily activities and have a wide range of excellent facilities. We even offer a chauffeuring service for residents to enjoy a day out with friends or family members.

Just because a loved one has moved into care, it doesn’t mean that families and friends can’t be involved. We actively encourage everyone to drop by whenever they want and as a pet friendly community, you can even bring the family dog!

Situated in a Stunning Location

Pine Martin Grange Care Home is situated in a beautiful location, on the lovely site of the old Sandford School, near Wareham. It is located right next to the former school's church which houses a listed organ that provides fantastic entertainment for the home and the Parish Council during community events.

Surrounded by trees, the home has beautiful outdoor space with a large landscaped garden and a patio area with garden furniture, perfect for residents to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. With beautiful scenic coastline on the doorstep, Pine Martin Grange makes an excellent choice for a new home.

The care home interior has been professionally designed, with luxury furnishings, accommodation and facilities over several floors.

We want every one of our residents to truly love where they live. That’s why the interior has been professionally and expertly designed, to create a luxurious yet homely feel for our residents to enjoy. Rooms can be personalised with special items from home to help residents familiarise themselves and adapt to their new surroundings.

Café/bar

Our modern café and bar is the social hub of the care home. All food and drink, including alcohol, is included in the care home fees and even family members can come and enjoy a glass of wine and some food without any additional cost.

Private dining room

Host a dinner party or entertain family and friends with some great food and a few drinks in our private dining room. We do all the work; our residents just invite the company!

Cinema

Enjoy cosy film nights in or watch your favourite sport on the big screen. Our cinema room is the ideal place for a little entertainment.

Library

Perfect for a little peace and quiet and the opportunity to delve into a good book. We have a whole range of genres for residents to try in our library.

Gym

We encourage an active lifestyle, whether residents are entirely independent or in need of a little help, a planned session in our gym can help residents strengthen muscles, relax joints, relieve pain and keep active.

A dedicated Activities Room

We offer a daily programme of activities to keep our residents engaged and entertained. With the chance to carry on an existing hobby or learn a new skill, we offer a variety of group sessions, trips out and even one-to-one interaction to meet all requirements. All of our activities are guided by our resident’s interests and the programme will be personalised accordingly.

Jacuzzi baths

Our soothing jacuzzi baths create a fantastic spa-like environment and are great for residents to relax in after a long or active day. Support is on hand if required.

Beauty Salon

Get pampered in our very own beauty salon. Have your hair done or visit our luxury nail bar, all from the comfort of your own home. Plus, it’s all included in your existing package!

Large garden

Our beautiful large landscaped garden is great for encouraging residents to spend time outdoors and even get involved with some of the gardening. It has been carefully designed with raised flower beds, wheelchair accessible pathways and plenty of shaded areas to ensure it’s enjoyable for all. Just another one of our clubs to join up to!

Private patios

Our patioed seating areas are great for socialising, spending time outdoors and even hosting a barbeque when the weather is nice.

Wi-Fi throughout

We have wi-fi running throughout the care home, so residents have full-time access to the internet. Keep in touch with family members, stay up to date with world events and even watch your favourite shows. It’s also very handy for the visitors!

Fully All-Inclusive with No Surprise Costs

As with all Mayflower Homes, Pine Martin Grange offers an all-inclusive service. This means our residents can enjoy as much of the facilities, events, food, drinks and services as they like, without the worry of additional cost. Whether you want to organise a family event in the dining room or enjoy a glass of wine at the bar, everything is included in your budget so there are no surprise bills.

The Home Director - Louise Hedley

What do I do?
As the home director it is my responsibility to ensure Pine Martin Grange is safe, enjoyable and maintained to the highest level within the care home industry but also to provide an outstanding service, for our residents whatever this may be to each individual, their families and visitors alike. I am so very proud of the Pine Martin Grange team and not only does every single member have genuine care and regard for our residents but for each other as well making it a incredible team to manage and environment to work.

Experience
I trained as a Adult Registered Nurse in 2004 at our local Bournemouth University. I spent time working in the NHS at Poole General Hospital before moving to social care. Over the last 13 years I have worked in a variety of settings including Mental Health, Critical Care, Acute Medicine, Older People and Older People with Dementia, Specialist Neuro Rehab, Community Care and Children with Complex Needs. In most recent years I have been Deputising and Managing Nursing and Residential Care Homes. I started out at Pine Martin Grange as Deputy Home Director and feel extremely privileged to have been able to progress within Mayflower Care Communities with a promotion to Home Director.

About Me
Outside of my working time I lead an incredibly busy life with my husband and 2 children who are 4 and 3 years old. We have a beautiful Chocolate Labrador and British Shorthair Cat as part of our family home in Bournemouth. We spend a lot of time visiting local attractions and family time at the beach with our Lab. We also love food so can also be found trying out new restaurants around the local area. I am a very caring person and have always put the needs of others before myself, including my mother who I nursed myself at home until she passed in 2014.
