Community Open Weekend

Location: Bramshott Grange
Date: Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th of April
Time: 10:00am - 4:00pm

Our vision at Mayflower Care Communities is to create homes that we would be happy to live in ourselves. We aim to make life fun and comfortable, creating places that family and friends will look forward to visiting. Mayflower’s all-inclusive service means that you can visit the beauty salon, host dinner parties or Sunday lunch, enjoy drinks in the bar, be chauffeur driven into town or have a gentle workout in the gym. Our residents can enjoy all of this and more, at no additional cost.

Pine Martin Grange is pleased to introduce weekly Coffee, Cake and Conversation afternoons. Come along for the chance to make some new friends or perhaps bring someone with you? There will be a delicious selection of cakes and afternoon treats available and plenty of people keen to get to know you and hear your stories. We will also invite guest speakers to give talks on a range of interesting topics, so there is hopefully something to suit everyone.

Dementia Awareness Day

Time: 10.00am - 4.00pm

10.00am - 4.00pm - Book your place on the Virtual Dementia Tour and experience for yourself what living with dementia may be like. Be guided through the mind of those with dementia using sensory tools and devices that will alter your senses. The Virtual Dementia Tour is the only scientifically and medically proven method of giving a person with a healthybrain the experience of what dementia might be like.

12.00pm - 1.00pm - Learn a little more about what it is like to live with dementia and turn that understanding into action. Open to the community, we will be running a Dementia Friends session to give people an understanding of dementia and the small things we can all do that could make a difference to people living with dementia in our own communities. All too often people with dementia experience loneliness and social exclusion. By mobilising society together we can make sure that people living with dementia are understood, included and feel a part of their communities.

Light refreshments will be available plus the opportunity to discuss the experience and look round our stunning home.
